Spanish

More and more professionals need to know Spanish: Nurses and police officers, doctors and lawyers, businesswomen, teachers and social workers all increasingly find Spanish as essential for success at their jobs. Today, Spanish is the second-most-spoken language in the United States. Learning it is necessary to know our neighbors, to do business in our towns and to understand our culture. The Spanish major provides you with the advanced language skills to accomplish those goals.

In a world of global business, knowing more than one language sets you apart from the competition. And a Spanish degree works well when combined with fields such as education, business, health care, politics, social work, criminal justice and communications.
